Exellyn and a global leader in sustainable packaging have signed a five-year Cisco Customer Experience Enterprise Agreement (CXEA). The CXEA simplifies technology management across networking, data centers, and security—accelerating the global migration of nearly 550 sites worldwide to a unified Cisco platform. The deal represents one of the largest Cisco Customer Experience Enterprise Agreements of its kind in EMEA.
The strategic agreement consolidates software licensing, support, and lifecycle services into a single, streamlined contract. Its scope covers enterprise networking (including switching, wireless, and SD-WAN), data centers (Intersight, DCN), and security (ThousandEyes, firewalls, ISE, Umbrella) solutions, setting the stage for the company's ambitious global network transformation. Standardizing their IT and OT environments on a unified Cisco platform will allow them to simplify management and enhance cybersecurity, thereby greatly improving resilience.
strategic value for global infrastructure
The Global Procurement Lead at the client outlined the operational benefits of the agreement: "Working together with Exellyn and Cisco resulted in the ability for our organization to consolidate its global licensing and support contracts into one agreement, contributing to our company-wide infrastructure policies and optimizing the use of all the benefits that an Enterprise Agreement offers. Working together with the Cisco asset manager must ensure further increase of the benefits of this Enterprise Agreement."
The lead continued by underscoring how joint effort made the agreement possible: "From a cooperation perspective, the agreement is a nice example of three parties collectively working together towards one result: Exellyn has demonstrated in-depth knowledge on providing the process to come to the agreement, whereas Cisco was able to provide the necessary information from all related entities. All parties are aware that the benefits of this agreement will increase if deployed correctly and to the full extent and put their efforts towards that goal. As always, 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating', and we are convinced that this collaboration results in a high-quality dinner!"
partnership built on trust and collaboration
Mark Veenendaal, Strategic Account Manager at Cisco, emphasized the significance of the partnership: "The client’s decision to move forward with Cisco was driven by a defining moment in their digital journey, the need to simplify, secure, and modernize their global network to support the newly formed organization. This agreement marks a huge milestone in that transformation, and Exellyn played a vital role in making it happen. Their commitment, collaboration, and customer-first mindset truly embody what a great partnership looks like. Together, we’ve shown how trusted relationships and shared ambition can turn complex challenges into lasting success."
Roberto de Back, Managing Director at Exellyn, highlighted the strategic investment behind the deal: "We are incredibly proud to have finalized a 5-year Cisco Enterprise Agreement with this major multinational manufacturer—a solution that streamlines their management of Cisco software and services. In recent years, Exellyn has invested significantly in our team's knowledge and expertise to support customers adopting Cisco's Enterprise Agreements. Early on, we recognized the value of the EA concept, in particular for the global enterprise customers we serve."
De Back continued: "This achievement not only reinforces the strong relationship between our organizations but also highlights the power of true collaboration between the client, Cisco, and Exellyn. The alignment throughout the process was seamless, and it’s a testament to the shared commitment and trust on all sides. I’d like to extend a special thanks to Rik de Cort and Kieran Mingle for their outstanding contributions, and to everyone involved in bringing this milestone to life. This is more than a deal—it’s a win for our growing strategic partnership."
foundation for long-term growth
Kieran Mingle, Senior Service Delivery Representative at Exellyn, spoke to the collaborative approach: "Working closely with the client, we’ve shaped a solution that not only meets their needs today but sets the foundation for further collaboration and growth together over the next five years. This agreement marks a significant milestone in our partnership, built on trust, shared ambition, and a commitment to delivering real value."
Rik de Cort, Senior Account Manager at Exellyn, emphasized the mutual benefits of the agreement: "This Enterprise Agreement is a perfect example of how building a joint business case together with the customer and all involved departments can lead to a true win-win for everyone. With a massive roll-out program ahead, covering hundreds of sites, the ability to simultaneously drive further optimization in license consumption and ensure full support coverage across all installed devices is an impressive achievement. It really showcases what’s possible when collaboration, trust, and shared goals come together."
